About the Host

A series about human behavior, pressure, and the systems people move through.

Mind & Verdict explores stories shaped by how people think, how they respond under pressure, and what happens next.

Rather than assigning blame, it follows how these situations unfold—and how systems can shape the people inside them, often in ways no one fully intends.

I came to this work from both sides of the courtroom.

I started my legal career as a defense attorney, sitting with clients who were scared, guilty, innocent, broken, complicated—and I fought for them. Then I crossed the aisle and spent four years as a prosecutor, building cases, seeking justice, and watching the system from the other side.

Most attorneys pick a side and stay there. I couldn’t. I needed to understand both.

That restlessness didn’t start in law school. It started earlier, with a psychology degree and a long-standing fascination with why people make the choices they make, especially under pressure. Now I’m working on a master’s in social work, deepening that understanding of trauma, human behavior, and the systems that shape people’s lives.

What I saw in the courtroom wasn’t unique to the legal system. It was human behavior playing out inside systems that depend on it—but don’t always account for it.

Mind & Verdict grows out of that perspective. It’s not about reaching a verdict. It’s about observing what happens when people, pressure, and systems meet—and how those moments can continue further than anyone expects.
